Call for Papers: 17th International Symposium on District Heating and Cooling
Now Open for Submissions
The papers chosen by the panel of judges will be awarded prize funds and presented at the renowned international District Heating and Cooling symposium. Experts from the worlds of science and industry meet at the international event to discuss the generation and distribution of heating and cooling. The event, that has been postponed to September 2021 due to Covid-19, will take place in Nottingham, UK, where solutions, innovations, and best-practice examples will be presented and discussed. The following topics are planned for the symposium:
- Urban energy systems, planning and development
- Efficiency and environmental performance
- Hybrid energy systems and smart grids
- Modelling and simulation of district heating systems
- Digitization of district heating systems
- 4GDH concepts, future local and district heating systems
- Geographic information systems (GIS) for energy systems, thermal design and heating networks
- Integration of renewable energy and waste heat sources for heating networks
Scientists are invited to present their research and results in these fields, which will be appraised and selected by the symposium’s scientific committee in advance. The five best submissions will receive US$ 1,000 in prize money. These prizes are sponsored by the IEA DHC technology initiative. After the symposium, with the authors’ permission, the papers will be published in a special edition of the scientific journal Elsevier – Energy Reports.
