The European Union (EU) has published the new funding call Joint Call 2022 with a budget of around 140 million euros. Funding is available for projects in which innovative technologies and system solutions are developed that contribute to Europe becoming the first climate-neutral continent by 2050.

The framework for the funding call is the so-called Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETP). The CETP complements national and regional funding programs within the EU research program Horizon Europe. The aim is the joint, transnational planning and implementation of research as well as technological development and innovation.

The Joint Call 2022 is divided into eleven thematic modules - from the generation of renewable energy, through its system integration and storage, to its utilization. Interested parties can submit project outlines from now until November 23, 2022.
